Gorgeous designs presented in signature rose gold, gold and coppery tones. Drawing subtle inspiration from a fusion of Caribbean, African, Egyptian, Asian and European influences. After all, these cultures are renowned for their opulence, sophistication and regalness.
Traditional wirework and beading techniques are used to create unique interpretations in modern sophisticated hair pieces, that can be worn in various hair textures and styles to any special occasion. Services available in the UK, The Caribbean and Internationally.

Every woman want’ to feel beautiful and comfortable in her own personal style for her special day. She ‘combs’ through inspo pages looking for representation of herself in the perfect hair adornment, for her upcoming special occasion. It’s important that her whole look oozes her kind of perfection. She is smart, she is sophisticated, she is down to earth, she embraces her unique qualities and she loves her natural hair. There should be choices without having to compromise and settle for what’s available.

Hi, I’m Niki. Managing Director and Bespoke Designer for Kala Waya Collections. I wanted to create a brand that celebrated the grace and sophistication of natural hair and loc styles of Afro-Caribbean women. Being a Barbadian woman with natural hair, I understand the struggle and disappointment of being unable to see enough visibility of black women rocking the luxury natural hair version of themselves. Natural hair and locs deserve pearls, crystals and one of a kind bespoke pieces too!
My journey into the KW Collections world of designing and handcrafting bespoke hair adornments and jewels started in 2018. It’s very much driven by heart, inclusivity, promotion of hair positivity; a love for creative expression and interpretations of luxury.
My cosy London based studio comes alive with Bohemian romanticism and imagination as your pieces are crafted with great attention to detail. Each nip and snip of my tools, each wire wrapped, Swarovski crystal intertwined, pearl strung, silky thread knotted, bead sewn and hand selected exquisite embellishment, adds a personal touch that gives you a luxe hair adornment that perfectly represents your true essence.
Providing a complete bespoke service that gives choice and makes you feel elegant are the ultimate brand goals. Intentionally within this process, I only work with a small number of commissions at a time allowing total attention to you. In Bespoke Consultations, I listen attentively to your vision capturing all details that are important to you. We build a relationship that helps us choose designs that are unique for you, your hair texture and hair style.
Real life Example – A bride-to-be with locs shouldn’t have to settle for a bridal comb if this is not her personality. She wanted to walk down the aisle with several bespoke pearl and Swarovski embellished loc jewellery pieces lovingly draping her tresses. She got it!
With a range of bespoke handmade hair adornments and jewellery pieces, I hope to honour the Queen who does not want to be a piece of curated beauty and instead is authentically beautiful.

I had locs for 14 years, however I have never had my hair adorned with jewels.
Earlier last year, I was a model on a photoshoot at a lovely venue. I was not only blessed to model in beautiful make up and a stunning gown, but also had the pleasure of my hair styled and adorned by Niki. She placed a gorgeous rose gold, flowery hair vine at the front of the loc style and draped the back of my hair with a long statement loc jewel made of juicy big pearls. They were such uniquely stunning handmade pieces.
