Consultations are a great way to get to know you and understand your inspiration for a hair or body jewellery piece.
Each jewellery commission is a personal and emotional investment. I understand that you want your unique piece to be absolutely perfect for you. KW Collections consultations are relaxed and not rushed, to give you time to articulate your vision.
Do not worry if it all seems a bit intimidating, because you may be thinking that you don’t have a creative bone in your body! It’s okay, we can figure out a gorgeous design together to suit your style and special occasion!

Connection
1. First of all, it’s important to see if we are the right fit for the commission that you want. Contact me with your query via the Bespoke Experience Get Started form.
Alternatively, you can send an email with your query to info@kalawayacollections.com.
Consultation
2. Once I’ve explored your requirements and established that your desired piece is something we can achieve together, you will be offered a consultation slot for your complimentary one (1 hour) consultation to discuss full design ideas and next steps. Consultations are face to face either in person or virtual via Facetime, Zoom, Whatsapp chat/video, Skype or Hangouts. A small travel fee applies if I am meeting you outside of London.

3. Face to face consultations are an inspiring luxe experience and preferred as much as possible. We will meet in an aspiring London venue to get our creative juices flowing over a glass of bubbly or non-alcoholic option. You will also get the opportunity to see and touch some of the embellishments that could be used for your design.

4. Swatch boards and sample kits are prepared for every face to face or virtual consultation. These can even be posted out to you in advance or after the consultation if you just can’t make up your mind about whether to go with a pearl or a pretty crystal! These are hard decisions, I get it! They are all soo lovely!!

Proposal
5. Consultation ‘done and dusted’, a proposal summary is emailed to you outlining our discussions along with T&Cs and a quotation for the jewellery commission. Complexity of the piece, choice of materials and sourcing is considered in the final quotation.
Deposit
6. If you are happy with the quotation and wish to forge ahead, a 30% deposit is required to start the creative process. This deposit fee will go towards the final cost of your bespoke luxe hair or body jewellery commission. There are several ways to make this deposit – via bank transfer, cash (if applicable) or PayPal.
Deposits are non-refundable.

7. Each labour of love requires a different time frame from start to finish. It will take an approximate lead time of 6 – 8 weeks from signing of bespoke contract to the creation and delivery of your unique jewellery commissions. I consider your event date and prioritise bespoke projects accordingly. It is important that you take this into consideration when you are contacting me. If you have a scheduled hair trial, completion and shipping of the finished piece will be considered to meet this date.
We will be in regular contact during the time your piece is being handcrafted. I will send you lots of videos and photos for your input. I want to ensure that you are absolutely happy with what you will receive.
An RSVP final stage fitting session specific for hair adornment commissions is offered dependent on your location.
Rush requests may be considered. Don’t hesitate to ask if this could be possible.

8. Your completed piece is shipped to you via your preferred tracked and signed shipping method in luxe branded KW Collections packaging. Check out the packaging page for more details.

My consultation process with Niki was very thorough. She took her time to send over inspiration images and then I indicated the styles of pieces that I liked. After this, we had a video call where she showed me the materials she worked with, explaining the differences and guiding me as to which materials she felt would be best for the hair jewellery I wanted to have designed. The video call was 1 hour long and at the end of it we were both clear on what the end result would be.
